About SASCOFounded in 1965, San Antonio Steel Company offers more than 700 steel items including nails, rebar and a large selection of fencing products. We operate from our 80,000 square-foot facility on 20 acres in San Antonio. We service primarily rural lumberyards that supply farmers, ranchers and construction companies across Texas.
“Our commitment to rural business in today’s marketplace is extraordinary,” says CEO L.C. “Chaz” Neely, Jr., who bought the company in 1979. “To help our independent retailers thrive in the world of big box wholesalers, we work harder to maintain a presence.” Neely believes that’s achieved with top-notch service and SASCO’s diligence on keeping prices competitive.
Setting our own standards in service and value, SASCO remains hands on with our customers. Our story affirms that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well, and, even more so, that one need not do what everyone else does to succeed. When it comes to steel products for ranching and construction, SASCO is your premier source.

In addition, in order to inject capital into the company he would sell his home on two different occasions to keep the doors open.
